Stumpwork Raspberries - 9th-11th May 2023
9th - 11th May 2023
4pm - 7:30pm
There is nothing better than picking raspberries direct, warmed by the summer sun they are a delight to eat and to look at. Inspired by the raspberries I grow in my garden this class celebrates the wonderful jewel like nature of them. Naturally occurring but extraordinary in every way. Create a bunch that last forever!
Running over 3 evenings this class will work on a Raspberry design consisting of a pair of 3D leaves and beaded freestanding raspberry as well as padding and wiring.
You will work through each of the stages of the piece over 3 evenings of stitching and will be provided with a full instruction booklet if you should wish to continue stitching after the lessons have finished. This class comes with evening refreshments and is aimed at those with a knowledge of embroidery but you do not have to be advanced in your stitching to take part!
You will be provided with all tools necessary to complete this project including hoops, beads, needles and threads.
Techniques you will learn in this class:
- Wiring a 3D shape for embroidery
- Double sided stitching
- Padding
- Beading
- Constructing a 3D embroidery
Once you have booked the class you will be sent an email with all the details including directions, materials you may need to bring and any other relevant information.
